The blackberry is a wild plant generally from which fruits are used, small, black, very aromatic and a bit acidic berries. They are consumed raw, although they are also used in the jam, compote and tarts manufacturing. They are rich in vitamins and minerals. They also provide fiber and they contain very little calories. Blackberries belong to the Rosaceae family and its cientific name is Rubus fructicosus. The palnt is a sarmentose bush with stems going from 3 to 4 meters long.
